Definition: Estimated percentage of adults with caregiving responsibilities for children with special health care needs (CSHCN) ages 0-17, by frequency of feeling overwhelmed by the day-to-day demands of providing medical or therapeutic care for their CSHCN in the period before the COVID-19 outbreak in March 2020 (e.g., in Wave 1 (Nov. 9 – Dec. 11, 2020), 32.4% of California caregivers of CSHCN had sometimes felt overwhelmed by the demands of caring for their CSHCN before the pandemic).
