Definition: Estimated percentage of children ages 0-17 living in households in which the householder resides with their unmarried partner, by legislative district (e.g., in 2016-2020, 8.6% of California children lived in cohabitating couple households).

Estimates are for children living in households and exclude children in group quarters and those who are householders, spouses, or unmarried partners. These estimates are based on a survey of the population and are subject to both sampling and nonsampling error.
