Footnote: Race/ethnicity categories are mutually exclusive. Cases with unknown race/ethnicity are included in the 'all infants' category. The notation S refers to rates that have been suppressed because there were 10 or fewer infant deaths in that group, and to numbers and rates that have been suppressed to protect confidentiality. The annotation [!] indicates that the rate is based on more than 10 but fewer than 20 infant deaths.
