Definition: Estimated percentage of adults with caregiving responsibilities for children with special health care needs (CSHCN) ages 0-17, by feelings of being overwhelmed by the day-to-day demands of providing medical or therapeutic care for their CSHCN in the previous month relative to earlier months after the COVID-19 outbreak in March 2020 (e.g., in Wave 4, 15.2% of California caregivers of CSHCN had in the previous month experienced increased feelings of being overwhelmed by the demands of caring for their CSHCN).
