Definition: Estimated percentage of adults with caregiving responsibilities for children ages 0-17 whose children's play dates or get togethers with peers were canceled in the period after the COVID-19 outbreak in March 2020 and were still canceled at the time of questionnaire, by presence of children with special health care needs (CSHCN) in the household (e.g., in Wave 4, the children of 11.7% of California caregivers living in households with one or more CSHCN were still experiencing cancelation of their informal social activities).

The questionnaire was administered during the following periods: Jul. 8 – Jul. 27, 2021 (Wave 3); Jun. 3 – Jun. 29, 2022 (Wave 4). These data are subject to both sampling and nonsampling error.
