Definition: Estimated percentage of children ages 0-17 living with at least one parent who was born outside of the United States, by legislative district (e.g., in 2014-2018, 48.3% of California children lived with foreign-born parents).

Footnote: Data presented are for families with sons or daughters by birth, marriage, or adoption. The foreign-born population includes naturalized U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, temporary migrants, humanitarian migrants, and unauthorized migrants. These estimates are based on a survey of the population and are subject to both sampling and nonsampling error.
