Definition: Estimated percentage of children ages 6-17 who missed and did not miss school in previous 12 months due to illness or injury, by special health care needs status and number of days missed (e.g., in 2023, 48.4% of California children with special health care needs missed 3 or fewer school days in the previous year due to illness or injury).
